The crowds were out, and there were so many great things for sale.

My main problem this weekend was trying not to spend every penny we had. I had a lot more luck this year, unlike last year’s trip. So many pretty glasses and bottles. I’ve never seen purple glass like these below. They were so pretty! I fell in love with the illustrated glasses too. If I had space for them, my kitchen cabinets would be filled with pretty glasses like these.

Also, how adorable are those pedal cars!? My legs are little long to drive one, but I can imagine how fun they would be if I could!

I’m still in the process of getting my house back in order, but soon I’ll have some photos of the things I brought home.

Lack of inspiration is partially to blame. I have been sketching a lot for future embroidery projects, and I’ve started a new piece that will be in my upcoming Etsy shop. Overall, life has just been a little on the crazy side.

More recently though, we started a very large job at home – installing new hardwood floors! It’s been a huge learning experience for both of us, and the results are amazing. I’ll be posting some before & after shots as soon as they are complete. We’ve been working on the floors for 2 months now! So much goes into this process, and it takes a little longer when you can only dedicate a couple of hours a day to the task.

Also, last weekend, Dustin and I packed up and headed north for the World’s Longest Yardsale route. It was an awesome weekend and I found some pretty great things. I’m putting together a post or 2 this week to show you some of those treasures, and some other shots I got along the way.

Isn’t this circus poster really cool?

I added some pretty pulls to a new dresser I painted for my bedroom. I think they are so pretty and feminine.

In my yard, my hydrangeas are in full bloom and absolutely gorgeous. I cut a couple blooms for our coffee table.

My mom has always been a great sense of encouragement in my life. She’s never stood in the way of my dreams, but stepped aside to let me create my own path.

I always know I can count on her…especially when it involves my favorite white chocolate pretzels for Christmas.

She’s beautiful, funny and caring, and I hope I’m just like her when I grow up.

For a while now, I’ve been thinking, planning, dreaming of having an Etsy shop. I love shopping on Etsy, and I want to share my handmade items too! So after months of talking about it, and thinking “I should really do that”…I’m doing it!

Last weekend I sat down to brainstorm about possible items. My shop will include sewing projects, embroidery and some crochet too. I would also like to include smaller vintage finds that I pick up at the antique shops around here.

I’ve blocked off some time during the week to work, and I’m really excited to get started.
So hopefully in the weeks to come, I’ll be announcing the launch of my Etsy shop! Wish me luck!

This weekend, we went on a little antiquing trip, and I got this cute little guy.

Another exciting bit of news to share involves this beauty. My father-in-law built this coffee table using an old barn door. I love it’s rustic look, especially with the old hinges and handle still attached! It has so much character.

I snapped these photos at my mother-in-laws house on Friday afternoon. They are Clematis, aren’t they beautiful? I hope to plant some around our mailbox soon. I’m in love with the color. They are so bright and springy.
